About GenAfrica Uganda
GenAfrica Asset Managers expanded its operations to Uganda in 2012 as a branch providing fund management services to institutional investors. The operations in Uganda have evolved over the years from managing UGX 16 billion in 2012 to over a Trillion in the recent years, both pension and non-pension funds.
This success has been driven by the passion to provide clients with competitive returns as well as superior customer service. In 2018, the subsidiary, GenAfrica Asset Managers Uganda Limited, was incorporated, to further strengthen the company’s foothold in Uganda.
The subsidiary acquired its license in 2021, it is licensed by both the Capital Markets Authority and the Uganda Retirement Benefits Authority.
